On Spinal Tap: They found it hilarious. 99% of the stuff in the movie has happened to them at some point or another. In addition, they apparently played with Spinal Tap at Ronnie James Dio's "Hearing Aid" event (the heavy metal "Live Aid", apparently) and got along wonderfully. On the SNL bit: Again, they loved it. It reintroduced them to a new era of fans and they've been touring more regularly ever since. On the cowbell in general: They are very pro-cowbell, going so far as to sell BOC "Got Cowbell?" shirts at their shows. Apparently, there was an in-band argument about who ACTUALLY played the cowbell originally. No cash money needed!
