Good news/bad news.

April 22nd, 2009 · No Comments · Politics, Rants

Good news:

Our network TV and radio companies have been decisively shown to have put aside partisan rancor in order to report - clearly and with a single voice - on important news of the day.

Bad news:

They did it by actively participating in a massive disinformation campaign aimed at presenting “retired military experts” as neutral commentators when said “experts” were actually working directly for the previous Administration with the explicit goal of controlling public opinion of things like the war in Iraq. When caught by the NY Times, they simply ignored the issue (one of the benefits of controlling the airwaves is… well… controlling what’s ON the airwaves). When said NYT investigation won a Pulitzer Prize yesterday, they simply reported on ALL OF THE OTHER WINNERS.

So… yeah. That one’s basically a wash, right?
