  • The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation 4 1/2 hour interview (in 9 parts) with Mister Rogers from 1999. It’s astounding to see that even their dull-as-dirt questioning can’t keep him from being completely engaging.

Josh. Please, please PLEASE get a new captcha script.

Just now — for probably the 5th time — I wrote a long and well-thought-out (for me) comment, only to have it eaten by the internet because the captcha code was wrong and the “back” button resets the text fields.

Anyway, the gist of my post was: Mr. Rogers is cool.

PS: I am going to post this over and over until I get one of these unreadable captcha codes right. This is try #4

    Short answer:

Log in and the captcha code goes away.

    Long answer:

It’s been a headache and a half finding a WP captcha plugin that effectively stops comment spam. A number of the available plugins simply don’t work, others are wonky on some web browsers and others are so ridiculously complex that I haven’t had the patience to get them working.

The current one, though a tad hard to read at times, at least functions properly.

Do you still have a job? My mum will find that link. Have you given me up to Hicks again? Hello Colin. Where have the comment buttons gone?

I also struggle with the strange code. I know write my post, copy it then hit say it in the vain hope that I have indeed been able to work out the small b from the small p and q or all the other junk.

Though I do have a question. If it is to stop spam posts that sort of suggests you got spam posts? Do people really spam to blogs like this? Is the spam you are trying to prevent some form of crazy automated links for sex site things or did you do the code to prevent the russian cat people crazies from posting?

Oh and you think you still have a job, I can’t yet be sure. Call me!

There are, in fact, a million evil bots roaming the internet, spamming any unsecured installations of the software I use with crazy links to poker websites, viagra resellers from overseas and strange gibberish with no defined purpose.
