Super Tuesday (Part I) Predictions.

February 5th, 2008 · No Comments · Politics

Part I, since we’re definitely not done with this contest until NEXT Tuesday. At least the Democrats won’t be.

Fueled by a (relative) surprise win in California, I think McCain will tie up the GOP nomination later today, followed by the cracking of awkward jokes about lawyers or pollsters or the Viet Cong. I will be cackling maniacally as Romney concedes. Huckabee will stick around just long enough to make it clear that he beat everyone but McCain.

The Democratic race will be a knock-down, drag out draw. Despite the media’s desperate attempts to cast everything Obama has done for the past month as a sign that he’s building irresistible momentum (and everything Clinton has done as a sign that she’s doomed to fail), Clinton will win the day, but not by a large enough margin to win the nomination outright.

Or Ron Paul and Mike Gravel could pull out miracle wins or something.
